WIth Valentine’s day around the corner I though I’d share some of my cards with you. the first one is the Stick Man Love Card. It’s blank inside so you can write to your heart’s content. I think it’s perfect to give to a guy because it’s not super girly. #2 is my new LEGOS card, perfect for the lovable geek in your life. #3 is the plain and simple I love you card. The inside reads “just thought you should know”. and #4 is my favorite, my new TETRIS card. I have a deep love for tetris so when this idea popped into my head I had to go with it. I think it’s fitting for the Valentine holiday, don’t you? You can find all of these and more in my etsy shop.

enjoy your day! xoxo KaylaBeth

Hi everyone! Here is another color combo I came up with using a photo I took of the Angel Oak tree in St.John’s ISland, SC. It is a truly magnificent sight to see. The tree is said to be 1500 years old. Today the live oak has a diameter of spread reaching 160 feet, a circumference of nearly 25 feet, and covers 17,100 square feet of ground. The limbs of the tree are so large that some of them have to be held up by support posts. They also grow into the ground and come back up. To get to the tree you drive out this little road behind a church and into the woods. Then there it is.

Hope you have a great day. xoxo KaylaBeth

Good morning all! I just wanted to share a few of my very own antiques. I have a huge collection, haha, but today I’m only sharing 4 of them. Maybe next week I’ll do some more (wink wink) I love anything vintage or antique. I’m positive I was born in the wrong era.

#1 is a really adorable ceramic pitcher I recently purchased. It has no markings on it so I’m not sure what company made it or where it’s from. but I love it.

#2 is seriously one of my favorite pieces I own. It’s a Fireking piece. It’s orange polka dot, perfect for me right? I got it at an auction of a family member. I think it’s actually the piece that started my collection now that I think about it.

#3 is my set of bird salt and pepper shakers. I think they’re Pyrex. They’re just adorable and I love them.

and #4 is my recently purchased metal recipe tin. It’s awesome and is currently being used to hold business cards.

You can find a ton of Pyrex and Fireking on etsy and ebay. I love it and am constantly adding to my collection. Plus it’s all oven proof so you can still use it. I do have a few pieces though that are just to look at. :)

well, I love this headboard first of all and secondly I’ve kind of been crushing on yellow & gray lately.

I absolutely love this bedroom I found on Pinterest. The colors are gorgeous

So I absolutely love to find new color schemes or create my own. Color is a huge part of what I do and mixing and matching different tones and hues is just really fun to me. So, here is a color scheme that I did using a picture I took on my farm last year during that “snowstorm” we had here in Tennessee last year.

hope this brightens your day a little :) xoxo KaylaBeth

I recently did some save the dates for a couple photographed by EvinPhotography .

I know, I know, it’s been forever since my last post but I’ve made a resolution to blog more and more this year. and I reallllly plan on keeping it. So I thought I’d show you all what I’ve been working on in my spare time (which I currently have a lot of). Oh and I want to show you a new toy I got for Christmas. It’s seriously going to change my crafting life.

1. I made some lovely little notebooks for all of friends for Christmas. The prints on them are some I designed as potential papers, but they just happen to fit the personalities of all of my friends perfectly. they’re stitched  on the side with jute cord.

2. I made this box in a matter of minutes with this nifty tool (my new toy!) from Martha Stewart Crafts . It is seriously already changing my life.

3. So I got really bored at work one day and made this cute little bow. You can make them out of book pages, magazine pages, scrapbook paper, whatever your heart desires. Here’s the tutorial.

See, I told you I had a lot of spare time on my hands. But, it’s just so much fun to play with paper! Okay, another post tomorrow. and the next day. and the next. I promise.

Happy crafting/designing/living!

xoxoKaylaBeth
